ULM (0–6, 0–2) saw a shutout first half unravel into 223 yards of Louisiana Tech (4–2, 2–0) offense and 24 unanswered points after the break, resulting in a 24–0 loss in the I‑20 Rivalry Showdown.
The Warhawks held the Bulldogs to just 26 rushing yards and 91 passing yards over the first 30 minutes inside FMOL Health | St. Francis Stadium. Armoni Rue set the tone early with ULM’s second interception of the season, halting Tech’s opening seven‑play drive. ULM’s response featured a 17‑yard strike from Aidan Armenta to JP Coulter, but the drive stalled near midfield, leading to the first of seven punts from Makenzie Ryan.
A personal‑foul flop call on the punt return positioned Tech at its own 43, but the Warhawk defense held firm, forcing a 46‑yard field‑goal attempt that missed. Louisiana Tech kicker Hunter Rioux finished 1‑for‑4, connecting only from 21 yards late in the fourth quarter.
ULM’s offense never found traction in the first half, failing to cross midfield or threaten the scoreline.
Defensively, Marcus Ross, Billy Pullen, and Jaeden Calendar each recorded a sack, while Kevontay Wells and Tyrell Brown combined for another.
The second half opened with consecutive short possessions, including an interception on the first play from scrimmage. Armenta’s second pick came early in the fourth quarter, when Kam Franklin returned an interception 66 yards to the ULM 10, setting up Tech’s final field goal.
ULM now hits the road for a Saturday afternoon Sun Belt Conference game at Troy (3-3, 1-1). Last week Troy traveled to Louisiana-Lafayette, falling 33-6.
