Seeing a purple team named Northwestern on the schedule, many ULM fans are likely to turn their attention to Natchitoches, La. for a game against a long-time Southland Conference. Instead, the Warhawks are flying north for their final non-conference tilt against the Northwestern Wildcats of Evanston, Ill.
The two teams have never matched up, but the Warhawks are no stranger to Northwestern’s conference foes, holding an 0-4 all-time record against Big10 opponents, last facing off against the Iowa Hawkeyes in 2011.
