Playing games against the SEC is a necessary evil. Necessary to get millions of dollars for the athletic budget, but evil to just watch the beat down teams take in the games. Sure, there are the lightning in a bottle moments such as ULM’s wins over Alabama and Arkansas in seasons past, but those were nowhere to be found on Saturday night as Mississippi State rolled 62 - 13 over the Warhawks to open the 2026 season.
