The 2025 season of ULM Warhawk football is just around the corner. Here’s a look at 25 storylines entering the season.
Special team protection - It has been three years since the Warhawks suffered a punt block. Can the streak continue? Punter Makenzie Ryan returns after a freshman season that saw him post a 39-yard average with 18 punts inside the 20-yard line, and 4 punts going over 50 yards. Newcomer Peyton Todd, 6’5 230 - LSU transfer, averaged 41 yards per punt a season ago, giving ULM another threat to flip the field on opponents.
More special teams - All specialists return from a season ago, with Max Larson leading the way with 69 points (14-17 field goals, 27-28 PAT). His 69 points is the most by a kicker since 2021 when Calum Sutherland recorded 75. In perspective, All-American running back Ahmad Hardy posted 78 points.
